Labor Doula
Birth work is an intimate and important service. Labor Doulas help prepare you for the childbirth experience. Before baby comes, you will work with your doula to create a birth plan. Your doula is your advocate, your voice during labor & delivery. Not only does she help keep you comfortable in different labor positions, she can also relay your desires if necessary to your medical team. The birth process can seem intimidating, even overwhelming! Your doula is here to guide you through the beginning of this journey, providing comfort, encouragement and professional care.
*Full Labor & Delivery Support Includes:
3 Private In-home Prenatal Visits to discuss birth plan, practice measures, answer questions & give product recommendations
24/7 On Call support after 36 weeks
In-Person support during Labor & Delivery
2 Postpartum Visits to discuss family wellbeing & infant care
Postpartum Doula
Everyone has different needs after a birth. TSD’s dedication to alternative families, single parents, non-binary birthing parents does not end at birth. Navigating the tender first moments & transition to a new ‘normal’ is part of your doula’s role. Postpartum Doula services provide continued support & care after delivery and into the first months of baby’s life, or the ‘Fourth Trimester’.
*Postpartum Support Includes:
Infant Feeding Support- bottles, lactation, formula & nursing
Emotional & Mental Wellbeing Support- resources
Basic Newborn Care- swaddling, wearing, diapering
Baby Bonding & Sleep Support
